There are so many ways to connect. Come visit, take a class, worship with us, spend time in prayer, surf the website, surf the beach, have a cup of coffee, play a game with our youth, color with the children. There are many different ways to connect. Pick one. See what happens. Try doing life together with us, as together, we follow Jesus.
Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
Sunday Morning Worship
There are two Sunday morning worship services: Contemporary Worship at 9:00 am (American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting at most Contemporary 9:00 services) and Traditional Worship at 11:00 am. At 10:00 am, we spend time in the Fellowship Hall (just across the breezeway). It’s a great time to meet people – have some conversation, coffee and danish. So connect with us: stay after the Contemporary service or come a little early for Traditional service – we would like to get to know you.
Many times when people ask us – what kind of worship do you do? We answer very simply: we worship. We come together as a family of like-minded saints and sinners to give glory and honor to God, revel in the grace of Jesus Christ and share in the mystery and wonder of the Holy Spirit. Our services may have varying styles of music and creative expression, but we worship in all services. You can watch what some of our members have to say…. here.
Sunday Night Worship
Starting September: Celtic Evensong is held once a month, every 4th Sunday, at 7:00 pm.
All are invited to a night of Evensong worship with Holy Communion in the Celtic tradition; a time that is rich with prayer, silence, scripture and music. It is contemplative in nature and reflects the beauty and traditions of the ancient Celtic Christian community.
At Celtic Evensong, you will find the meditative silence, the simplicity of utterance, and the faithful commitment to care for the earth that many of us are yearning for in our lives. When we say that all are invited, we mean it. It does not matter if you worship at Oceanview, or another church, or have little or no religious background. All are welcome at Celtic Evensong.
