Operation Overboard Dare to Go Deep with God
VBS 2012 – June 18-22
We are bringing an underwater universe adventure to the kids at our Vacation Bible School, Operation Overboard Dare to Go Deep with God. Your children will become divers-in-training at Operation Overboard as we plunge into God’s Word and discover stories of deep faith. Dive right in at Oceanview United Methodist Church, 701 Ocean Dr. in Juno Beach on Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children age 3 (potty trained) through completed 5th grade may attend.
We will begin each day in a high-energy opening praising God. Then we will make our way to the Underwater Passage. Interactive Bible lessons reveal five ocean insights for living as a follower of God, and your divers will discover Sea Scripture memory verses that will boost their faith long after VBS.
The children will expand on they’re learning by participating in q variety of activities: making their own art projects at Aquatic Arts, singing new music at the Choral Reef,, exploring at Exploration Station, participating in recreational activities High Tide Hangout , and enjoying tasty snacks.
Something New: Come Sunday, June 17, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. for a cookout at the church. Come and fellowship with others who will be coming to VBS and get an idea of what will be happening at VBS.
On Friday, June at 7:00 p.m. the children will have a special presentation for their parents, other relatives, friends and others who would like to attend. At this time they will share the music and some of the things they have learned during the week.
Our mission project for the week will be school supplies for Riviera Beach Elementary School. A list of supplies needed will be sent home with the children the first day of VBS.
You will find a registration form link below. Please fill out a form for each child attending and return it to the church office no later than June 10. We will take registrations on a first come first served bases. Registration will close at 130 children. The cost for registration is $30.00 per child or $60.00 per family. There will be a $5.00 discount for the children of VBS volunteers. VBS is an outreach ministry of Oceanview and we would hope that you will share this form with a child that you know.
